The Danish National Board of Health works to improve the health of the population in Denmark. The population health status is affected by a wide range of factors - physical, mental and structural aspects including the distribution of health and the burden of disease in a population.
The Board collects information about the population health status by drawing up national surveys, through maintenance of databases, registries, monitoring of various health indicators and by gathering other forms of information. It also generates overviews of the health status in the population as shown here.
