The Board is the supreme healthcare authority in Denmark.
We assist the minister for the Interior and Health with the administration of the healthcare service. We also advise the Ministry of the Interior and Health as well as other authorities and inform Danish citizens on specific health issues.
It is our task to set the best possible frames within the healthcare system for the prevention and treatment of illness, suffering and functional limitations for the individual. We follow health conditions through monitoring and evaluation and endeavour to be at the cutting edge of knowledge and experiences.
